Hopeful

While I wouldn't say politics and scrapbooking go hand in hand, this layout worked out quite well I think. Focusing my journaling on the election and how hopeful I was of the outcome, I gathered all of my memes, articles and newspaper pages and created a base background on two pages.

Initially I was going to superimpose the text right over it but I didn't want to block any of the images. So I ended up making a double sided journaling page that I added in between. I used items from the December 2020 Hope Story Kit, along with some older SC washi tape.

I had so many images saved it was hard to pick out which ones to choose from. I probably could've made 4 pages.

Scrapbook tip: head over to freedomforum.org to snag the front page of any US newspaper. Simply search for the newspaper you want, click on the image and save it to your laptop or phone. Boom. Instant headlines for you to use.

I think in the future I'd like to make another background, possibly with a bunch of actual photos. Kinda like a day in the life kinda thing.

Anyone else adding any political stuff to their albums?

Happy Scrapping!
