Reading Recap | January 2020

One of my goals this year is to read 52 books, which equals to a book a week. Totally doable. I'm staying on track so far. Here's what I read in January:

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid (BOTM)

I really wanted to love this one. I just didn't. I liked it and thought it was written I a clever way but the way everyone was talking about it, I thought it would be more. Will definitely be reading more of her books though.

The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James (BOTM)

This was a super quick read that I really enjoyed. I wasn't sure what to expect reading the synopsis from BOTM but was pleasantly surprised. It's a whodunit with some supernatural thrown in.

Don't Even Breathe by Keith Houghton (Amazon Prime)

I had completely forgotten that I downloaded this from Amazon. I'm always glad when I find books I like that are part of a series because I devoured this one. What can I say? I like crime novels.

A Place Called Fear by Keith Houghton

This was the second of the Maggie Novak series and I think I read this one faster than the first. The third book comes out June 23rd and I've already preordered it. Houghton is one of my new favorite crime authors.

Currently Reading:

Killing Hope by Keith Houghton

This is another series I discovered by Houghton. It's part of the Gabe Quinn series.

For my February Book of the Month picks I chose:

Anna K by Jenny Lee
The Holdout by Graham Moore
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
